Natural Meditation: Full Immersion in Effortlessness
with Dean Sluyter. Sunday, September 20, 1:00 – 4:00 pm. “There’s no trying in meditation”. Most people equate meditation with trying: trying to concentrate, trying to clear the mind, trying to create some special experience they think they’re “supposed” to have. They sit down, work hard at it, and then — surprise! — it’s hard work. But for centuries, sages have taught that the most effective meditation is actually effortless. Just as a feather floats naturally to the ground, you can settle naturally into the silence at your core.
Known for his warm, down-to-earth style, Dean Sluyter has studied with Eastern and Western sages and taught natural meditation throughout the U.S. for over 40 years, from Ivy League colleges to maximum security prisons. He’ll show you how to choose a meditative object (such as sound, breath, the senses, the sky, or the simple sense of “I”), use it to settle effortlessly, and establish a daily practice that’s a pleasure rather than a chore.
Dean Sluyter is the author of four books, including the Amazon #1 stress-management best seller, Natural Meditation: A Guide to Effortless Meditative Practice. More info at deansluyter.com. INVESTMENT: $35.00. Click HERE for more information. Click HERE to sign up.
