Yoga Retreat in Mexico
Join Ellen and Sally, April 5 – April 11, 2014, for the annual MANJARI IN MEXICO retreat on the picture perfect island of Isla Mujeres. Meet us on our mats for a twice-daily yoga practice that will honor seasoned and newer practitioners alike. Hotel Nabalam offers you a place to enjoy the beauty of the Caribbean sea and its sunsets with personalized services and attention. Isla Mujeres never fails to provide an amazing backdrop for lots of yoga, lots of relaxation and lots of laughs. Two yoga classes daily, long walks on the beach, amazing food, on-site spa (spa services not included) All combine to insure you come back restored, refreshed and renewed. During our last three retreats many lasting and deep friendships and bonds were formed on this magical island. We found that there is amazing connection when people are in a place where it is easy to let down habitual defenses and drop more easily into our true selves. Salir del frio! The Digs And Details: To get there just grab a flight to Cancun, take a transport to Puerto Juárez and then enjoy an easy breezy (and really fun!) 15-minute ferry ride to the charming Island of Isla Mujeres. (Transport can be set up for you from the airport to the hotel. Ask for details.) Hotel Nabalam — Maya Haven on the beach is located on (and we mean ON!) the North Beach, our favorite beach on Isla Mujeres. In fact our favorite beach — anywhere — period.
The rooms are spacious and chic and there are squishy beds on the beach for your seaside lounging pleasure.
If you like to gaze at the Caribbean blue while you nibble on guacamole (or the yummiest fish tacos, etc.), enjoy Nabalam’s fabulous beach restaurant. If you’d like to get a taste of local cuisine, the town is walking distance from the hotel. (Just don’t let that stop you from renting a golf cart to explore!)

Mommy and Me Yoga
With Denise Friedson, RYT, RPYT. Four-week series. Thursdays, November 21; December 5, 12 and 19. 1:00 – 2:00 pm. Practicing yoga after birth contributes to the bond between mother and baby while honoring the body’s post-natal transformation. Mommy and Me yoga takes place in a supportive environment, contributing to the emotional well-being of mother and child.

New Year’s Day Benefit
With Trish. Wenesday, January 1, 11 am – 12:30 pm. Mixed-Level with Trish. Proceeds benefit Benton's Family Assistance Fund. Ian and Marie Auerbach established Benton's Family Assistance Fund within NTSAD to honor their son, Benton, who passed away from Tay-Sachs in January, 2012, at the age of 3. They started this fund to provide financial assistance to families and affected individuals to purchase items and services that promote comfort, ease, and quality of life for their loved ones. Similar to Helping Hand Grants, grants from Benton's Family Assistance Fund will aid families and individuals that are otherwise unable to afford these very helpful services. Minimum donation $25.00. Join Ellen in this monthly series and radically expand your knowledge of how to align yourself in some of the main categories of yoga asana -- backbends, hip openers, arm balances, and inversions. Relax and Rejuvenate: A Restorative Mini-Retreat
